What is DTSCD? Also the d600 and D610 can be done with the paper clip trick..
yeah the paper clip trick works but why tear apart the case when all you have to do is boot to the DSTCD and reset the service tag through dos, thus resetting all passwords in the bios setup. When I say bios passwords I mean the supervisor and user level passwords, not the HDD password.

Toshiba A205-S5825 BIOS Reset

Newbie here,

Took in a used laptop in a trade at the our shop and didn't notice that there was a Bios Password at start up. Is there anyway that we can reset the BIOS? I searched through this forum and found a thread, titled How do I reset eeprom on Toshiba A205? here on TechSpot, although it didn't help since the laptop doesn't have the (XXX) jumpers that are referenced in the thread. Any help is appreciated.

Thank You.

Oh! Yes!! It worked!! Thank you so much hpgl. I got it on the 4th try. The laptop is now with the orphanage and they are very happy.

Well, I didn't know that she is referring to her as* with that 15404 but she's telling the truth coz she's a model. She is really sexy and a very nice person.

Thanks for this great site..

Master password for Dell Inspiron 9300

Hey guys
I think I have read most of all the posts in this thread over the past 4 days and I am about to pull my hair out over this laptop Dell Inspiron 9300 with service-tag #BLBKL1J - 595B(extracted from gray screen)
and express-code 252-338-315-59(extracted from website) these are the only two numbers I have have since the tag on the bottom of the machine is rubbed away and unreadable.
This machine has been laying around for 3 years unused and the owner info is lost, and on top of that I am in Denmark.
I have been taking it apart as far as to the motherboard(the MB is still stuck to the bottom of the case) and I need help to get the MB free and access to the the eprom chip and to locate it and to reassemble the machine to the extent I can flash the chip.
I see a problem in the fans working properly while I have access to the chip
I really really need help to solve this and I appreciate all the help I already got through this forum

The above suggestion (who knows if it works or not) was for you to try the program keydisk, it was not the password

Seeming I'm posting, may as well post this info as well for Dell HP users:

All recovery options are here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html
Anyone can contact Dell here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic100658.html
Anyone can contact HP here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic100655.html
If the above does not help you, then try Google for another option, as that is all there is ;)

Follow this procedure to delete a BIOS password using the Response Code method .
Be sure to keep the computer powered-on during this entire procedure. The Challenge Code issued by the BIOS is only valid until the computer is turned off and back on.
1. At the BIOS password prompt ("PASSWORD = "), press and release the following keys, one after another:
Ctrl, Tab, Ctrl, Enter
The computer's response should be:
PC Serial No.= XXXXXXXXX
Challenge Code= XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX
Response Code=
2. Call Toshiba ASP Support. Explain to the support technician that you need a Response Code to remove a BIOS password. Recite both the PC Serial No. & Challenge Code to the support technician. The support technician will verbally issue a Response Code to you.
3. Enter the Response Code at the "Response Code=" prompt, and press Enter.
The computer's response should be: "Valid Password Entered. System is now starting up."
4. Once Windows has finished loading, restart Windows: Start > Shut Down > Restart.
5. Once the screen image is blank, press and hold the Esc key.
6. Release the Esc key once you see the prompt: "Check System, than press [F1] Key"
7. Press the F1 key.
The BIOS / CMOS Setup screen should appear. Follow these steps to de-register the password:
1. Press 'P' to jump to the Password field. "Registered" will be highlighted.
2. Press the spacebar to change "Password= Registered" to "Password= ".
3. Press the spacebar and press Enter. The BIOS should respond with "New Password = ".
4. Press Enter again. The BIOS should respond with "Verify Password= ".
5. Press Enter again. The BIOS should respond with "Password= Not Registered".
6. Press the End key. The BIOS should respond with "Are You Sure?".
7. Press Y.
