I have a problem finishing my installation for my sims deluxe please help!

    im trying to install my sims 2 deluxe.
    it stops at 28% saying
    "A problem occurred when trying to transfer the file 'D:\Base\TSData\Res\Sims3d\Sims11.oackage' from the media."
    then it asks if i'd like to retry installation of cancel.
    i hit retry a couple of times, and this window keeps popping up.
    do you have any idea how to fix this??

    Make sure your disk is clean. Try copying the files from the CD to your desktop and installing from there.

    My Computer>Right Click the CD drive>Select Open>I'm sure you know how to copy and paste.
