Imbecile failing to setup network !

I can set up the network thing on the laptop fine but when I run the wiard on the 'main' computer it fails -some message about 'impossible to finsih the setup'

The printer is 'shared' and the laptop can 'see' the main computer when I try and add a printer to it but cannot see any printers to add.....

Hey Lindn, go to Start>Contorl Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer and look under the system field (also look under application) and look for any errors and post them here.

Wow! That sure is a lot of application hangs and assorted errors lol. Maybe time to reformat much?

That sounds complicated and the sort of thing that would destroy all my carefully created settings on everything in the world......

You could use the windows Migration tool, but to reformat a bit of techy knowledge is very useful lol
