Is it just me not seeing a meaningful difference between RTX Ultra vs Off???

Why don't you link some in stead of shilling for Nvidia for free? The images in the article aren't very good at highlighting the enhancement RTX on offers. Watch some videos on YouTube or witness it first hand, the difference is amazing. I can't understand how people wouldn't want it, it's the best new image processing effect I've seen in a very long time.
What exactly do you think ray tracing is? It is pointless in an image with few shadows to trace rays from. I'm still on the fence as to whether I want it or not. I'm not naive enough to think it would be noticeable in the image above. Why don't you link some in stead of shilling for Nvidia for free?
BF V was the same story though. What exactly do you think ray tracing is? It is pointless in an image with few shadows to trace rays from. I'm still on the fence as to whether I want it or not. I'm not naive enough to think it would be noticeable in the image above.
In fact my mother goes around to cemeteries and takes pictures for Findagrave. She hated going on sunshiny days because of the shadows created by the sun. The text on the stone would show better on overcast days. There is no difference in the effects of ray tracing and that which was being removed on the tombstones.
Please tell me you aren’t incapable of searching YouTube for RTX on footage? What an absolute garbage this ray tracing meme is. It reminds me of Nvidia HairWorks, pointless graphical "improvements" that cost an arm and a leg in terms of performance. While playing the game you're not gonna stop and look at every reflection to determine wheter it's real enough and even if you do it seems there's not much difference.
Why don't you link some in stead of shilling for Nvidia for free?
I was suggesting you link a video in which you can see ray tracing in it's best form cause I sure as **** can't find any. Please tell me you aren’t incapable of searching YouTube for RTX on footage?
Maybe, but until that happens it's a piece of ****, rightfully so.Ray tracing will be common in the future, it’s going to be on every single game out there eventually.
It's a free feature from Nvidia? What fantasy world are you living in? This is the dumbest and most gullible **** I've heard in a while, last thing was probably something you said as well. It's unreal.I don’t understand why anyone hates on it, if you don’t like it you can turn it off and currently the Nvidia cards that have it aren’t any more expensive than their AMD counterparts so it’s effectively a free feature.
And I got a bridge to sell you. Please don’t confuse ray tracing with Hairworks. Hairworks is a gimmick, ray tracing is progress.
I’m almost certain you’ve not seen ray tracing in real life yet.I was suggesting you link a video in which you can see ray tracing in it's best form cause I sure as **** can't find any.

As someone who seems to be invested into the "latest 3D rendering technology" it is wierd you ask why people dislike it and it's actually pretty simple: it offers barely visible visual difference which isn't necessarily better, just different, while crippling the performance of even the most powerful graphics cards making games run terrible.
And I got a bridge to sell you.
You are actually saying that ray tracing is free because AMD VII card costs as much as Nvidias RTX2080, which is $700. So if AMD dropped their price by $100 suddenly ray tracing would start costing $100. How does that work? That's your own logic, what a mess you are mate. Have fun with your free feature you paid $700 dollars for.I’m almost certain you’ve not seen ray tracing in real life yet.
Yes it is a free feature. Equivalent AMD cards cost the same without ray tracing (Vega 56,Radeon 7). Therefore you don’t pay any extra to buy the Nvidia card with ray tracing. I don’t understand how you couldn’t grasp such a simple concept. Well, maybe it is for you. Please do try to explain without sounding really stupid how it costs extra?
You seem to hold an irrational amount of hate for a free feature. I’m guessing you’ve got other distractions on your mind.

If Nvidia's RT cores are FREE, then why is Nvidia's GTX1660 coming out with $100 price cut from the RTX2060..?
Anyone reading your posts can tell you are not a gamer, but a salesman. You approach everything not from a neutral gamer point of view, but as a Nvidia stock holder....
Started playing Metro Exodus with Ray Tracing on and also off on my RTX 2080 Ti. The difference is interesting; because the lighting is now so realistic with Ray Tracing on, my brain no longer rejects the environment as fake and so the feeling of fear goes up (at least for me). With Ray Tracing off, it's just less scary since the lighting just still looks and feels fake to me.Is it just me not seeing a meaningful difference between RTX Ultra vs Off???
Yes, there was not much I could see on the screenshots, but will check gameplay videos to see the difference. Though you got to remember that with a 2080ti you are the top 1% and rest of us won't be able to get playable framerates with RTX on for quite a while. I welcome ray tracing as I am convinced it is the way forward, however, with these 1st gen RTX GPUs it is an extremely expensive visual effect. I expect this to be widely affordable in a few years. I will hop on the train when it arrives to the mid-range in a playable fashion.Started playing Metro Exodus with Ray Tracing on and also off on my RTX 2080 Ti. Too bad you can't really see this gaming experience difference in the screenshots, but you can definitely feel the difference when you play Metro Exodus with Ray Tracing on.
It’s actually about $50 cheaper than a 2060 and has less CUDA cores. I know you are desperate to spread the misinformation that RTX costs loads but the fact is it comes as a very low cost. If I want to buy a 2060, 2070 or 2080 then I would save no money by buying a non RTX card and getting the same performance. Or perhaps you could point me in the direction of a card that offers the same performance as an RTX card but without the RTX features that saves me some money? If Nvidia's RT cores are FREE, then why is Nvidia's GTX1660 coming out with $100 price cut from the RTX2060..?
