My pc freezes freezes when left alone....

and the way to get it back is a hard reboot.
i am not sure if its a hardware problem but my spec is:

abit kn9s
amd althlon x2 6000+
Bfg nvidia 8600 gts 256mb
320gb sata harddrive
3gb ram
and my oc is win xp pro sp2

any help would be much appreciated

verify your Standby vs Hybernate settings. Suggest NEITHER until your system
is sane again.

fyi: large HD freespace is required for the hybernation feature.
