Need help, computer games freezing!

Whenever i run full screen games my computer freezes about 2 or 3 minutes into it, ive updated my Nvidia drivers but doesnt work.

heres some info if it helps find an answer

7600 gs is getting old but it should handle most games i would say with remaining specs of machine. you have been running the same os, no clean installs since you had the system. like the above poster said, not a bad idea to dust off the boards, video card to start off.

whats been different, you install anything, any changes in the last few days since it started happening. I run the 7600 and I keep up with most all games still.
 
You get the feeling it sucks in these forums now... wtf do all these people do, 200 people viewing a section of a forum and you are thinking sure I will post, should get answered for sure... right!
 
That is because your system is unstable. Most likely either your GPU or your CPU

DON'T OC and put defaults in BIOS and see what happens. thx let us know..
