After getting my laptop working again due to the help of this forum, I figured I'd see if I could get my parent's desktop working. It's an HP running on Windows XP. Over the past couple years the computer has been basically unusable due to slowness and freezing. Over the past couple days I've installed Microsoft Security Essentials and performed Windows Update. I also ran the ESET Online Scanner. ESET detected a variant of java trojandownloader.agent.ab. Unfortunately the computer restarted or crashed at some point during the night and I do not know if that issue was fixed or not. I will now post the logs requested in the 5 step removal sticky. I appreciate everything the forum has already done to help me and appreciate any help you are willing to give on getting the current machine up and running again. Thank you in advance.
