  1. Hi,

While playing games on Vista SP1 I get random freezes (about 0.5s~) every 1-2mins. I've turned off all the power saving features and it hasn't help at all. I went back to XP and the freezes stopped, now I went back to Vista and they have came back again. All my drivers are up to date, here is my PC specs.

    CPU: E8400 @ 4.05GHz
    GFX: GTX260 SP216
    RAM: 4GB G-Skill PI PC-8800
OS: Windows Vista SPI Home Premium
    HD: 1.1TB

Cheers for the reply. I wouldn't think its the video drivers, it also happened when I was using a 4870 512MB.

In may experience random freezes is usually RAM or Video driver, not always but that's a start. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Well I'm using the latest drivers and did use a different video card (ATi) and the problem still occurred. Also my RAM is stable, I've memtested it and came out with no errors. What I find weird is that is doesn't happen in XP. Keep in mind, they're only small pauses for about 0.5sec every 1-2mins and its only really noticeable in FPS games.
