Hi: Rebooted computer this morning and it said Windows password was not correct. Then it said I need a disk to boot. I followed these directions off the internet to get Windows to boot: From the command prompt I typed: cd.. cd window notepad.exe File Open Local Disk Windows system 32 folder All Files sethc Renamed to sethc2 cmd Renamed to sethc Closed all windows Restarted Pressed shift 5 times Typed: net user my name then typed new password I tried rebooting thinking everything was done and it would not reboot until I put the CD back in and followed the above steps once again. Now, I am concerned that there is something in my computer that caused this. Yesterday, I downloaded updated chipset software and updated my BIOS as Dell Detect said they both needed to be updated. I am following your instructions for posting and running malwarebytes and it has been running for over an with 0 objects scanned and is still on prescan operations and 0 items detected. Please help!!! I work at home and have had to call off due to this problem.
