when i click on my combofix , it automatically uninstalled. so i download a new combofix from the net and scan again. i hope this is not a problem??

here are the results.

Hi,

I'm not sure why that has happened, but your logs definitely look clean now.

  1. Please download and run CCleaner via step 9 of the instructions HERE.

  2. Delete all files in AVG Antispyware Quarantine folder. (located in C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5\Quarantine)

  3. Turn off system restore (XP/ME only). Learn how to do that HERE.
This will remove all the remaining nasties from your old restore points.

  4. After that turn system restore back on.
This would have created a new safe and clean restore point for your system.

  5. Often times, an infection can occur again not due to the incompetence of programs, but because of user habits.
May I recommend you to read this article.
This can help to prevent future infections.

Should you have any further problems, please post in this thread.

do u know how i suppose to prevent my computer for getting infection from my external storage device?
thin is because each time i want to get some informations from other computers by using my external storage device , the harmful things will come to my external device as free......

I would suggest having real-time monitoring programs installed on your system. These include SpyBot S&D or Spyware Doctor or even AVG Antivirus installed. If your external storage device is infected, I would suggest running a full system scan (including the external drive) with AVG Antispyware first while it is plugged in.

have another faster idea? too slow... besides, could u tell me what are the programs that i can terminate on starting so that i can start my windows faster?

Is the risk of re-infection (which is very high considering you suspect it is infected) worth the time saving? I highly doubt so. You can check your AVG antispyware settings to see if its possible to scan only the external hard drive.

Post a fresh HijackThis log and I'll see what I can do.

Hi,

Where is your AVG Antispyware log?

Those logs look clean to me, which is pretty strange. It could be that only your msn program is infected; For that I'd suggest you uninstall and delete all instances of the program folder and contents, then reinstall it.

Hi,

It seems all your logs look perfectly clean to me. I would suggest reinstalling your msn messenger. Let me know if it helps, and if any strange symptoms start appearing outside of msn.

Hi,

Run MSN and sign in.
Next run HijackThis and go to the 'Misc Tools' Section. Under system tools, click on 'Open process manager' and then click on the save icon (a little yellow diskette at the top right hand corner) Save the file to where ever you want. Attach that file in your next reply.

You may exit MSN after saving the list.

Next boot into safe mode and run a full system scan with your antivirus and let me know the results. Thanks.

Hi,

Boot into safe mode and delete this file:
C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\usnsvc.exe

Reboot into normal mode and try MSN once again to see if it works fine.

please help me to start faster during start up.... would you suggest me to use Super Utilities Pro 2008 7.8.1980 and XP Smoker 5.3 or PCMedik 6.1.28.2008?

Another good way for managing startup programs without downloading additional software is through spybot S&D. Go to Mode and select advanced. then expand tools in the left pane, then double click system startup uncheck items that don't need to be started everytime you turn on your computer. If you don't know what something is you can post here or google for it. Don't uncheck anything in green.
