    Hi,

It seems all your logs look perfectly clean to me. I would suggest reinstalling your msn messenger. Let me know if it helps, and if any strange symptoms start appearing outside of msn.

    Hi,

    Run MSN and sign in.
Next run HijackThis and go to the 'Misc Tools' Section. Under system tools, click on 'Open process manager' and then click on the save icon (a little yellow diskette at the top right hand corner) Save the file to where ever you want. Attach that file in your next reply.

You may exit MSN after saving the list.

Next boot into safe mode and run a full system scan with your antivirus and let me know the results. Thanks.

    Regards,
    momok

    Hi,

Boot into safe mode and delete this file:
    C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\usnsvc.exe

Reboot into normal mode and try MSN once again to see if it works fine.

please help me to start faster during start up.... would you suggest me to use Super Utilities Pro 2008 7.8.1980 and XP Smoker 5.3 or PCMedik 6.1.28.2008?

Another good way for managing startup programs without downloading additional software is through spybot S&D. Go to Mode and select advanced. then expand tools in the left pane, then double click system startup uncheck items that don't need to be started everytime you turn on your computer. If you don't know what something is you can post here or google for it. Don't uncheck anything in green.

    what do u think momok?
  11. momok Newcomer, in training Posts: 2,272

I must say I've never used that function. Took a quick look and did find it fairly useful, though I have to caution you that you must know what you are doing when unchecking in that section.

Alternatively, you can post your new hijackthis log; I'll just give you a brief run-through of which items aren't really necessary on startup.

    Hi,

    How's your system running?

I've listed a few entries here that are not entirely necessary for HijackThis; fixing them is entirely upto your discretion. :

    O2 - BHO: Adobe PDF Reader Link Helper - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dll

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file) < u can pretty much just fix this.

    O2 - BHO: QUICKfind BHO Object - {C08DF07A-3E49-4E25-9AB0-D3882835F153} - C:\PROGRA~1\TEXTware\QUICKF~1\PlugIns\IEHelp.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Adobe Reader Speed Launcher] "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\Reader_sl.exe" < allows adobe to start up pdf files quicker. not very useful though if you almost never open pdf files.

O4 - Startup: OneNote 2007 Screen Clipper and Launcher.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\ONENOTEM.EXE < I personally have never even have the chance to use OneNote even once in my life, so I find it pretty pointless to have it on start up.

    O9 - Extra button: Send to OneNote - {2670000A-7350-4f3c-8081-5663EE0C6C49} - C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office12\ONBttnIE.dll
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: S&end to OneNote - {2670000A-7350-4f3c-8081-5663EE0C6C49} - C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office12\ONBttnIE.dll

    hi,
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - i think this is belong to IEhelper.

I'm using onenote for my study n store my note .

what u want to know about my system?

Well, it does. However I believe the usual user generally does not really need it much, and it says (no file) so you can pretty much fix it =)
If you use one note then there's no need to remove it.

Your system should be running near or at optimum performance now taking into account your needs. Do you face any problems?

    hi,
meaning my computer is running almost near the best performance? there is nothing more i can do to make it fun faster without harming the hardware? do you see any unnecessary program that is running that i can uninstall or remove it?

    Hi,

I'm afraid so. Perhaps the only other last thing you can do is to check your uninstall programs list and remove unneeded programs. It won't affect your performance much though, other than freeing up space on your hard drive.
