My wife was on the computer a couple of hours ago and suddenly windows started filling the screen saying the hard disk was going to fail. I did a quick internet search and found techspot. I started the 5 step plan to start cleaning. I ran CCleaner and in the Startup box it showed "gCewtKdyITBp.exe". I didn't recognize it so I disabled it. Does anyone know if this is the cause of my problems? I should also say that the computer wouldn't allow me to open Task Manager so I did a restart. After the computer restarted I immediately opened Task Manager to see what was running and found something I didn't recognize so I ended the process. I didn't take the time to write down the name but it included something to the effect of "powerC" in it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rodney p.s. While attempting to install Malwarebyte it said, "saving uninstall information..." then a small box opened that said, "Access is denied." The next message box said, "Setup was not completed. Please correct the problem and run Setup again." I have previously installed Malwarebyte before I started the 5 step process, but now am unable to locate any software on my computer. CCleaner shows the program, along with many others, in the uninstall list, but I am unable to run or find the programs anywhere else.
