TechSpot is looking to hire writers that are driven and self-motivated when it comes to computers, the internet, and technology in general. Being a regular reader of TechSpot is not a requirement but certainly a big plus. If you have a passion for technology and the necessary writing skills, give us a shout.

We have both full-time and freelance positions available for experienced writers and reporters, we're looking for at least two reporters to work on daily news coverage. If you're familiar with what we do, then you know we require profound understanding of technical matters and the ability to write about it with accuracy and authority.

Even if the job is not up your alley you can still help us by sharing this on social networks or directly with any friends or colleagues that may be a good fit.

  • The news reporter position requires you to be active, posting news stories on a daily basis.
  • Geographic location is not a constraint but native English skills are an imperative.
  • This is a work from home (Batcave, Fortress of Solitude, etc.) type of position.
  • Topics we usually cover on TechSpot include: PC hardware and software, internet services and applications, mobile devices, tech gadgets, and gaming.
  • Creativity and a knack for picking timely and interesting topics is very important.
  • Compensation is commensurate with article length, quality and experience.

Ready to apply?

If you are interested please fill out this form. We’ll follow up with the candidates best fit for the job. Thank you.

New reporters? Nice.
I have some ideas to help the office....improve.

I feel at this point Steve should have his very own hot little blonde secretary... taking his calls/cleaning his GPU's while wearing tight little mini-skirts and asking him if he wants tea or coffee every morning. Scorpus The Entertainer should be allowed to bring his dog into work to cheer him up from those tedious phone reviews. As far as you sir Mr. Franco, you should have some nerdy clone doing all your work for you while you put on beard oil and play Mortal Kombat X tournaments from your home while eating beaver tails and drinking whole milk.

I will post coverage of the God-Emperor for free. The only stipulation is that my forum rank be changed to "Inquisitor."

Death to the false Emperor! Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for........

Uh hemmm.... I mean, computers, phones, software, stuff.... yeah.

LOLOL ...... it's like throwing fresh meat to a pack of hungry dogs! I shall withdraw with my back to the exit .... very, very slowly .....

I'd love to participate in this, but I have a full time job in network engineering and I have no journalism experience (other than some creative flare and/ or 'pizzazz') .

I'm in the same boat I would love to do it but with a Full time IT job don't really have the time plus also no journalism experience.

I don't see myself ever being a writer. In fact it cost me a diploma in Electronics Engineering, because I never could get the mindset to be even a basic writer.

I will probably throw in an application. I've always toyed with the idea of being a tech writer, but ill need a pen name so I can still troll on the side

As with others, full time job + family leave little time for something like this. I do like the idea of writing tech stuff. Maybe when I retire.

The Prince.
While I enjoy reading about tech and probably do that for a couple of hours a day I doubt writing about it would be a good bed fellow for my job as [insert IT related profession here].
+1
Lies. If you were too much to the point, you would have simply said 'no.'

Your transgression has been recorded.
