TechSpot software repository update frequency

I was just curious how often does someone scan the file repository to ensure that the latest versions of software are being offered up?

Putty @ Techspot is only v.72 - but it's been v.74 since June 2020.

Granted this is only 1 instance, but got me wondering if there were any others.

Every day, year round. But we do it all by hand, so inevitably we will miss on some stuff. By the time you read this, Putty should be up to date. Thanks for the note.

I don't envy all the work it takes to maintain the site. Hopefully you find someone out there who can code a script to help automate it. Or maybe add a widget to let folks (maybe just the site supporters) click a button that sends an alert? Anything we can to to help.

Thanks! While complete automation is not something we pursue (we also scan files for malware, and so forth before we distribute them), we do use various tools to make the job easier. But covering a few thousand apps with a small team does mean some newer updates will slip eventually.

Firefox Portable is up to 89.0.1 now.

It was identical to the v91.0.0 file that I had downloaded from TS when it listed as v91.0.0. The one from SF was different. Also, the file details said 91.0.0. If it's now the same, then it's been fixed.

Looks like you fixed it, but FWIW - iview460xxx instead of iview462xxx was being offered.
