Think I've gotten it all resolved except....

I had some bad nasties from an spam mail masqurading as a friends account and believe I've gotten everything fixed (HJT log attached) excepted a problem where all the IE6 toolbar options are grayed out and I'm not able to change them>

I've tried MCVS' suggestions but don't have the key's he said to change. I'm running W2K SP4 and IE6 SP1.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Rename HijackThis.exe to HijackThis1991.exe and post a fresh HJT log.

Thanks - Still have the issue about the toolbar options being grayed out on my IE6.

Maybe the viruses you had damaged some of your OS files.

Click start/run and type sfc /scannow into the run box and press the enter key. Make sure you have your Windows cd handy. Windows wil check for any damaged or missing OS files.

If that doesn`t help. Try a Windows repair as per this thread HERE.
