I can imagine this, Window 8 UK.

"I see that you entered a URL for a know porn site. Are you sure"
    "Yes."
"You really want to look at smut?"
    "Yes."
    "Are you a pervert?"
    "No."
"So you don't want to look at porn."
    "No"
    "So you are a pervert?"
    "No"
"So you don't want to look at porn."
    "No."
    "So you are a pervert?"
    "Yes."
    "here is your porn pervert"
  3. Hello is that reception? Hi Susan, can you make pornography come on my computer, please.
  4. Just wait until everyone starts stockpiling porn. It'll be like armagedon. Empty porn-shelves, barren porn-shopping-aisles, bare... well, there won't be much bare anything.
  5. LOL well atleast the under age like myself no about, Proxy's, SSH tunnels and VPNs. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT CONTROL WHAT THE PARENTS ARE MEANT TO DO!!!!!

not all 5 year olds no how to bypass a home internet filter. get my point, A home filter. Now Im not a porn addict or anything like that, im just against the government doing the parents dirty work for protecting there own kids.

You could customize it depending on preference too, lol

"You want to look at porn?"
    "Yes Mistress Windows"
    "Defrag my hardrive first."
    (ten minutes later)
"Can I look at porn now?"
    "Clean my CPU cooler."
    (half an hour later)
    "Now?"
"Did you renew the anti virus?"
    "Yes, you know I did."
    "What?"
    "Sorry Mistress"
"Because you gave me attitude, only 5 minutes today."

Gosh, it's scary to think that Windows 8 might indeed have a "lick my boot" version. Maybe they'll call it, "Windows 8 Ultimate Dominatrix".

Not to mention how much of an impact this could have on the economy.

I haven't been this amazed since Al Gore invented the internet to search for manbearpig. The UK should be focusing on banning manbearpig from their little series of tubes, not porn, as manbearpig is a much bigger, and faster growing threat to little children.
  16. Thank you Franklin, Jefferson, Washington, and Adams! Yet another example of why I'm glad the fathers split from the mother country.
  17. but homo "deviation" is just fine ?

    what a farce !
  18. I am responsible for blocking websites that the libraries service provide to the general public. I was told to stop blocking access to porn sites as they infringed on the human rights of the public!
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWEjvCRPrCo

Porn sites should use xxx instead of www and then the companies or apps can block xxx.
  20. As far as I know they also tried this in China and it didn't work out well. The porn filters ended up blocking searches like "Mickey Mouse" and "Michael Jackson" (well it figures for Michael :p).

The internet should not be filtered by the ISP, but the parents are those who should setup website filters or search filters, and I'm really sure that even if the ISP filters it, kids will alway find a way to watch porn if they really want to.

As a kid, my parents always tried different restrictions on the computer, from filters to boot passwords, and eventually I locked them out of the computer.

So imao, good luck Britain. Invest tons of money in filters, but **** your pants when it comes to 3 inches of snow.

Maybe you could buy some plows instead of porn filters....
  21. Its not about porn, its about control of the web.Take it from someone that knows.

This Tory-Lib Dems British coalition Government is going one step too far trying to set constraints for internet usage, this is a pre-cursor to all-out censorship on a hidden political agenda by setting a precedent.

Maybe I'm too cynical but I just feel that the type of parents that are as uninvolved with their children to not bother to control/monitor their child's use of the internet are likely to be the type to have a "porn" enabled connection anyway....
  24. Great line from Scrubs:

Dr. Cox: If you took away all the porn from the internet, there would only be one website left, and that would be called "Bring Back The Porn".

Hmm..So they ain't rolled it out over all of them then. Their excuse is they are "protecting the children", but when i bought mine instore, they didn't even ask me if i had kids...I suppose i wouldn't have minded, but the lock screws around with other "clean" things on the web, so it has to be taken off anyway (???). I dont see what's wrong with the system we have now. My Dad didn't let me have the net in the house till i was 18, and i turned out ok...Sure, i hate his guts for doing that and i didn't lose my "cherry" till i was 19, but hey, thats life :haha:

It's British government Per, their always bloody at it. All they do is think up more ways of controling it's citizen's, like we're incapable of doing it our selfs. Instead of urging parents to take greater care with their children, they just grab paper and write more bills for parliment...They're supposed to be elected to speak for the people, but in the end, always, they just speak for themselves.

No wonder us Brit's don't do politics...

Yes, you had me over a barrel for about 3 posts with that one...Careful with your spelling though, i might plot my revenge and pounce :D
