Upgrade Time

Hey, im lookin for a new graphics card, my ATI Radeon 9200 128mb card is kinda out of place on my;

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
512 RAM
120Gig HDD
250 Watt PSU (wel thats bad aint it)
DVD-RW/CR-RW 16X

So...im not looking for somethin that will run everythin till 2010 but somethin that will at least let my play HL2 Doom 3 and far cry failrly good looking.

I only have about £85 to spend, so i want the best £85 card i can get.

and can any one reccomend any sites that are classed as the "best" sites for buying computer stuff (especially graphics cards )

I'd say Radeon 9600 XT could fit that budget. Check TechSpot's Pricewatch, 85 pounds is about 150 US dollars now.

Id say get a Sparkle geforce FX 5900xt buy fare the beefiest bujet card

Remember that with GeForce cards, XT means lower performance, but with Radeons, it means higher.

Add UK rip off price increase and a 9600XT is about £10 dearer. Cheapest I've seen from UK online shops is from Komplett.co.uk for £98.99
