Windows anti-piracy system hacked again

Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) technology, which prevents users of unauthorised copies of Windows from getting updates, has been hacked once more. Several websites are publicising another way of bypassing the technology. This hack involves changing a setting in a Microsoft validation tool, GenuineCheck.exe, which can then be used to generate a code that can be used to validate pirated Windows software. Only last week, Microsoft launched an investigation after details were posted on the internet of how to get around WGA by pasting a JavaScript string into the web browser.
