T-Mobile offers iPhone without contract, charges 999
The catch? An unlocked iPhone in Germany will set you back a whopping 999 (almost $1,500) a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a phone in my opinion. Still, thats less than the cost of ownership of the iPhone with a 2-year contract, which is around 1575 after hardware and monthly airtime costs.
The company will continue to offer the iPhone at 399 when purchased with a two-year commitment. In addition, those who have bought an iPhone can also request an unlock code for a fee.

Give it 18 months you will be able to get this phone on probably most if not all networks for a bargain price. Give it 36 months and you will be able to get this phone on probably most if not all networks for free. I've been with Vodaphone for several years now on a contract, I go into the store and they practically BEG me to take a new phone if I agree to stay with them for another 18 months.
