Whereas Comcast is dead set on destroying torrents the world over (ok, maybe not quite), some companies are actively embracing torrents as a media distribution mechanism that should be lauded. Using bittorrent technology, the CBC in Canada will be broadcasting a show next week, making them one of the first major broadcasters to attempt such a feat.
What's more, they are doing so without interlacing DRM into the media, making it a very accessible format that isn't hindered by cumbersome copyright protection. One show may not make a lot of difference, but it's a sign that we all want to see. Bittorrent lauded and DRM chided in one move sounds very good.
