Visiontek Radeon HD 3870 X2 Overclocked @ TechSpot
This is quite possibly the most impressive 3870 X2 graphics card available today, with the only possible exception being the ASUS version we reviewed a few months back. Like the ASUS, this Visiontek card aims at offering a greatly improved cooling solution, quad DVI-outputs, along with some factory overclocking to top it all off.
As you should know by now, the Radeon HD 3870 X2 is in essence two Radeon HD 3870 GPUs stuck together on the same PCB. This has already been proven to work quite well in terms of performance, but there's always the heat output concern.

Great review! Really comprehensive and professional as usual  , but I think you judged the power consumption a bit to easily:"The power consumption of the VisionTek Radeon HD 3870 X2 is typical for that of a Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics card, which makes it slightly more efficient than a GeForce 9800 GX2."The 9800GX2 was much faster in most games... so the efficiency medal should go IMO to the GX2.Also, it would have been nice to have included Assassin's Creed, one of the newest additions to DX10.

Ah its still a nice card, I'll stick with Nvidia for now though. At least it looks awesome and stays cool though. Great review as always, love the tons of pictures taken in the white void, can't wait for the next! |
