EA one step closer to acquiring Take-Two
EA is still inching its way into Take-Two's territory, having now satisfied the FTC's second information request for a proposed takeover. This clears the way legally for EA, leaving only Take-Two itself to oppose the maneuver. Nothing is expected to happen at least until the middle of August when the FTC is expected to complete their review, though to date Take-Two has appeared resistant to the idea of a takeover.
Frankly, this seems like a bad deal from Take-Two's stance. The company has made a tremendous name for themselves and had huge success with the GTA series on their own. EA's method of embracing and enveloping other game companies has often resulted in being gutted or turned into 'game mills'. Especially since EA has been particularly ruthless in their attempt to acquire T2, it is unlikely they have particularly good intentions for the current talent employed by Take-Two.

T2 is quite a developer, with huge success with the GTA series, on the other, why would someone take over a company when it's staff are not interested in it? besides, I think EA's way of doing things is different and might kill the future of the series.

Not to mention that EA has destroyed game properties in the past... this just reminds me of the whole M$ & Yahoo thing. These bully companies are just disgusting and sicken me.
This would be a horrible move for T2 and obviously a great deal for EA. ;/
