Microsoft has confirmed that the first of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable episodes is set to be released exclusively for the Xbox 360 this autumn - just in time for the busy holiday season. Exactly what should we expect in terms of gameplay from the exclusive episodes is still to be confirmed, though.

In related news, Microsoft has revealed the recommended specs for the upcoming PC version of GTA IV through their Games for Windows site - albeit a bit prematurely, it seems, as they were promptly removed. In any case, the "leaked" specs call for Windows XP SP2, a dual core CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 18GB of free hard disk space, and a 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card.

Keep in mind that these are (unconfirmed) recommended requirements, so if your computer is not up to spec then you may still be able to run the game smoothly on lower settings. Grand Theft Auto IV is expected to hit the PC on November 18, featuring an expanded multiplayer component and improved graphics.
