Download of the week: µTorrent
It also has a minimalist, intuitive interface and supports the protocol encryption joint specification to prevent arbitrary throttling by certain Internet service providers. µTorrent is probably not a new name for torrent lovers using Windows, but one of the reasons I chose it as this week’s recommended download is that for the first time this nifty little client has become available for the Mac as well – as it was promised when acquired by BitTorrent Inc. back in 2006.
The Mac release only runs on Leopard/Intel Macs at the moment, and is still in Beta, so there’s a chance you will encounter some bugs here and there. I haven’t had a chance to thoroughly test the Mac version yet, but if you give it a try, feel free to share your experience in the comments.

It also allows (via a plugin) a web interface to access it which is an amazingly useful feature.

well my roommate had very serious problems with his laptop (vista) until I noticed that every time his computer hangs our router looses connectivity for few secs (restarting probably or something). Then he noticed that it happens only when he's running uTorrent, so he changed torrent client and had no more problems with his laptop hanging.I myself continue using uTorrent as I did not have any problems with it yet

Absolutely. My choice of bit torrent client for quite some time now and I haven't had to look back.

I like it but it does freeze up every now and then on my vista notebook. I'll come back a couple hours after starting it and it won't open up again from the taskbar and Vista can't end the task or kill the process.

i have been running on my vista notebook for over a year now.. and cant recall any problems with it. not a single crash or anything.. very good mix of features too.

I have used it for about 2 years and always update to the latest version, my ISP BT, scramble torrents after about 6pm, so my download speed goes from 150mp/s to 3mb/s, IT SUCKS> but they get best speed in my area.
