Sprint recently sent out a company-wide email stating that employees could expect training for the Palm Pre to begin in April. In confirmation of this memo, the blog PreThinking got their hands on a copy and received verification of the rumor from Sprint.

Although it was suggested the Palm Pre didn’t appear to be ready software-wise during the demos at CTIA, based on this bit of information it should be safe to assume that the official launch of the Pre is now imminent. How soon, you ask? The folks over at Engadget seem to have discovered a Sprint planning document which points to a window between 5/17 and 6/30.

It has been predicted that the Pre will have a MSRP of $549.99, but will be $150 when coupled with a two-year service agreement. Some of the Pre feature highlights include a 3.1" multi-touch screen and a real keyboard, in addition to Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and a 3-megapixel camera.
