Last Friday, the L4D team made an official blog post that, among other things, hinted The Passing would appear this week. "Well... if it was coming out next week we would say right here - Left 4 Dead 2's The Passing is coming out next week and we will be updating the blog next week with more news on the release. There you go."
The Passing will cost about $7 (560 Microsoft Points) on the Xbox 360, but should be a freebie for PC gamers. Features include new game modes (indeed, plural), new weapons, new enemies, and players will meet three Survivors from the first Left 4 Dead.

Hopefully they get a lot of nice DLC ready for me when I buy this game later.. just waiting on a "good" sale. That and trying to get caught up on the rest of my backlog.
