Cell phones have 18 times more bacteria than a toilet handle
If you use another person's phone, 30 percent of a virus can make it to your fingertips just by touching the screen. If you rub your eyes, bite your nails, or put your hands to your face, the virus can get into your system. The information comes from a study from the July Journal of Applied Microbiology.
We're not saying you should stop playing with your friends' mobile phones or never let anyone touch yours. As we move into fall though, and with the flu season coming up, just keep the information in mind. Remember, there are plenty of other ways to spread the flu. Don't be paranoid about it; as long as your immune system is working, worrying about getting sick is probably more harmful than doing your best to use every single phone in sight while walking down the street.

remember public phone booths? Nothing like getting sticky fingers and the smell of urine while making a call. now those were the days. |

This is something that might cause concern, bordering on paranoia, with the imbeciles that religiously watch the "Today" show. But seriously....DILLIGAF.....? I say, "always use toilet paper instead of just your hands when you potty". That'll cut the bacteria down a bit. Oh, and don't forget a good healthy squirt of "Purel", into your enema bag from time to time. |

Interesting piece, seeing as how the last WOF was about touch technology. Again touching is slow, inefficient, and imo only applicable to certain niches. Should have been able to teleport a beer in my hand with my mind by now, but everyone is still just poking for now. /pun |

Not surprising in the least especially when people share similar to a TV remote or keyboard which for many households is covered in germs as they say. On top of that you can see every greasy fingerprint on the screen like displayed iPads at retail stores *shivers*. |

This shouldn't be too much of a problem, at least for people who have working immune systems. Now, E Coli in your hamburger, or Salmonella in your chicken, that would be a different story. |

Paris's panties are what real men call "leftovers for dinner".... I just threw up in my mouth a little.... Don't swallow, save that, you'll need the enzymes to soften up the crotch area

Our skin carries more bacteria than an entire toilet seat, these comparisons are ridiculous. |

So basically I can execute a murder plan by simply placing some 'unimaginably contagious and dangerous' bug on my cell and handing it to the targeted person ...... hmm interesting thought. |

Now Playing....!! >>>>>> "The Andromeda Stain <<<<<< I think I'd rather stick to Paris Hilton's Panties (pun intended), than risk my life yapping on some smelly iPhone. You know where she's been, you can rent the video, but the phone no, no, no, no, that could have been anywhere. If this thread continues any further, we'll need to have a hazardous waste symbol smiley, (with undies on its head). |

Hmm it seems like Captain don't really like Mid Summer Murders ........ Edit: By the way captain, you make it sound like as if Paris Hamilton is an porn actress or something like that (although even if she isn't, she sure seem to have some talent for that). |

By the way captain, you make it sound like as if Paris Hamilton is an porn actress or something like that (although even if she isn't, she sure seem to have some talent for that). Actually, I wasn't joking about the video. Several years ago, Ms Hilton was filmed in a sex tape scandal. The tape was printed and sold as porn, over the counter. Here's the Google search results on it; [link] If you click on any of this s***, you're on your own. As a matter of public interest, most women possess the ability to be porn stars. It's just they become increasingly disinclined to prove it, the longer you know them, and paradoxically, the more you buy them. |

Not sure 'someone' would want to do it, perhaps if you get that handle installed outside of the house or something like that, it may be bit amusing but they'll be more inclined to do it. |

*Cell* phone... now that's a laugh... Of course a buttonpad contains germs, just like any public touch-zone that lacks cleaning. And as for the elevator button; germs are all around us, and when the flu comes round, wash your hands carefully and you'll probably be fine. |
