OUYAs continue to roll off the assembly line and into the living rooms of early Kickstarter backers eager to get their hands on the unconventional Android console. Meanwhile, Soul Fjord, an OUYA exclusive title, has just been announced.

While details about Soul Fjord are scant, the most notable piece of information about the game is that it was developed by Airtight Games with Kim Swift, the co-creator of Portal. The project was kept under wraps during development, and game trailers are just now being released.

Unfortunately, there has been no gameplay videos as of yet, but this segment of the official announcement from OUYA should give you an idea of the attitude embodied within the game:  "Soul Fjord is a randomly-generated dungeon crawler with rhythm-based combat set in a fantasy universe where the genres of 70's Funk and Soul meld with Norse mythology - complete with lounge Dragons, Disco Wizards, and one badass Viking named Magnus Jones."

OUYA has garnered a lot of support from the gaming community as they push to redefine the historically closed system of game consoles. The Kickstarter campaign was a major success, pulling in $8.6 million, well beyond the $950 thousand they were seeking. The hype undoubtedly helped bring onboard some major names in the gaming industry, further contributing to the possible upset OUYA is positioning themselves for.

OUYA will be available in stores on June 4, and is available for pre-order via their website.
