A visualization of how video game graphics have improved over the past 30 years

By on November 6, 2013, 9:30 AM

One interesting way to visualize the improvement of video game graphics over the years is to compare their title design. That’s exactly what the guys at Art of the Title have done in their most recent video dating back to the days of Donkey Kong and running through modern titles like The Last of Us and Tomb Raider.

It’s really impressive when you consider how far gaming graphics have come in the past few decades but the comic below perhaps sums it up best.

LOL. The comic strip is funny because it is true.

Very cool - nice blasts from the past. To be fair though those games from the last 15 years are primarily cut scenes and not the game graphics itself.

And it probably even better if it weren't for consoles holding back progress.
