Google has launched an update to Google+ for Android, bringing in a massive UI overhaul as well as a number of new features.

The most prominent of those is Auto Awesome Stories and Movies that automatically curate vacations and stay-at-home adventures for you. While Stories allow you to view travelogues that Google's social network automatically creates for you using your pics, videos, and location information, Movies highlight vacation videos with effects and soundtrack.

Google+ Stories automatically notifies you within a day of your return home from a vacation that a Stories package is ready.

The update also brings a completely revamped user interface. Some of the major UI tweaks include a new photo browser that lets you navigate the photos by date, a nice red header, an updated interface for posting new status messages, a new navigation menu to easily switch between circles and communities, and more.

It's a lot easier now to share content from your phone or tablet, and the app menu now slides away as you scroll, letting posts fill the entire screen.

Just like the web app, the updated Android app also displays profile views, though you can turn that off from the settings. It also allows you to create animated GIFs and photobooth-style images using the new Motion and Mix options in the Photos section.

The update is rolling out gradually, so it may take some time before it reaches all users. If you still haven't  got it, you can either wait or grab the apk here.
