Android Wear comes with a pretty decent selection of useful features, but there was always one that was missing: the ability to play YouTube videos on a tiny, low-resolution, circular display on your wrist.

Now, thanks to a third-party application called Video for Android Wear & YouTube, you can watch all the videos you like directly on your smartwatch. The app allows you to search for YouTube videos either by voice or a tiny keyboard, and then play your selected video on your smartwatch's display along with play/pause and seek controls.

To get sound with the video playing on your smartwatch, you'll need to connect either a pair of Bluetooth headphones or a Bluetooth speaker, as most smartwatches don't come with an internal speaker or a headphone jack. The app also supports sending videos from your smartwatch to your Google Cast supporting devices.

If you want to try out this YouTube app for Android Wear devices, you can download it right now from the Google Play Store. The app's developer notes it may take a while to install considering the size of the app, but after a short wait you'll be able to jump right in to watching videos directly on your wrist.
