Microsoft has rolled out a new Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build today to those in the Fast Ring, bringing with it a ton of new features alongside significant performance and battery life improvements.

Build 10572 adds a new feature where Windows 10 Mobile users can receive missed call notifications and send text messages through Cortana on their PC. This is a pretty significant feature that improves the integration between Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile, with more features like this expected to arrive in the future.

Skype has also been integrated into the messaging and phone apps in Windows 10 Mobile build 10572; while Cortana has been improved to give movie and event reminders, with the ability to book Uber rides to ensure you're on time. The Maps app now allows you to download maps to an SD card for offline viewing, and there have also been improvements to the Photos app and storage settings.

There is one slight issue with the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview: a bug exists that prevents direct upgrades from previous Insider builds. This means users wanting to test out the latest build will need to wipe their phone and downgrade to Windows Phone 8.1 using the Windows Device Recovery Tool before updating.

With the launch of Windows 10 Mobile just around the corner, build 10572 should be one of the last Insider Preview builds before the operating system's final release.
