Microsoft's iconic Windows 95 software has a knack for cropping up in the most unlikely of places. A couple of years back, someone managed to load the operating system onto an Android Wear smartwatch and now, Windows 95 has made its way onto a Nintendo 3DS.

GBAtemp forum member "shutterbug2000" managed to get Windows 95 running on a new Nintendo 3DS. At its core, he said, it's just a libretro / DOSBox (the former being an API for emulators and games and the latter being an x86 emulator).

Impressive as it may be, the hack doesn't appear to be terribly practical - at least, thus far. That hasn't stopped the homebrew community from dreaming up a number of possibilities, however.
