Benchmarks: Company of Heroes

Company of Heroes is very demanding on the GPU when run in DX10 mode. At 1440x900 the Force3D Radeon HD 4870 Black Edition matched the standard Radeon HD 4870, along with the Palit Radeon HD 4870 1GB, rendering 70fps on average. This made the Radeon HD 4870 graphics cards slower than the GeForce GTX 260, 9800 GX2, and of course the GTX 280.

Increasing the resolution to 1680x1050 allowed the Palit Radeon HD 4870 1GB to get away from the Force3D version, which remained just a frame faster than a standard Radeon HD 4870. Finally at 1920x1200 the performance trends remained much the same, with the Radeon HD 4870 graphics cards falling 10fps behind the GeForce GTX 260.
