Power Consumption

The power consumption figures are in line with what we were expecting. The most conservative processor of the bunch is the Athlon II X2 265 which used slightly more power than the Pentium G9650 under load and considerably less at idle. The Phenom II X2 560 used a bit more power with a consumption very closer to that of the Core i5 750.

The Phenom II X4 970 was considerably more power hungry than the Core i5 750. And as it couldn't have been any other way, the Phenom II X6 1075T sat right between the 1055T and 1090T processors, while the Core 2 Quad Q9400, Core i7 930 and the mighty Core i7 980X processors provided the highest load consumption results.
