Dell hard drive password removal

Hi,

I received a laptop used X300 on ebay but I can't get into bios to make changes. I get the system disabled screen with code 01290. Can someone please provide me with a password for this?

what I did was updating the BIOS to the latest. Then I tried several Passwords and when I tried 'x300' it worked.
Maybe you try this method first, before paying for some masterpassword.

I can help only with X300 or similar secured series or other brandt laptops .
The new dells coreduo protected by new security system are another story , but PM for them also .

I purchased a Latitude notebook at auction, but when I tried to use it, the first thing I got was the dreaded grey screen requesting I "type in the primary or administrator password," which I did not get with the machine.

The service tag no. is "2Z7YC1S - 595B" so the latitude.exe program does not work. I've also bought a manual from ebay and tried to locate the bios chip for the paper clip method, but it's beyond me, and probably best left for the mechanically minded.

I've contacted Dell Support, and initially thought they were going to assist, but seem now to have hit a brick wall because I bought at auction.

Can someone please help? I believe Rustam has been successful in assisting many caught in a similar predicament to me.

When on х300 you try 3 times wrong password - there will be 5 digit number , give me this number.

for hdd password when i put 3 times wrong says:
"HDD Password Failed
System Disabled"
and i must to restart...
no code...

When on X300 you try 3 times wrong password - there will be 5 digit number , give me this number .

My 5 digit number are 15259 so please can You help me too

i recently had a breakup with my girl and as a personal vendetta she placed a password on my hdd. now when the machine boots i get a grey screen that says i need a password to access the drive. i tried everything i know including remove bios batt. and reset bios.
i have a dell d620 i purchased used from a local repair shop. they cannot help me with this issue. dell will not help as i am not the original registered owner.
was trying to locate a master hard drive password for this model.
ive looked around and found that rustam_ may be the man that can help.

so, RUSTAM_ if your around is there any way you can help me out with this?
if not, can i purchase a new drive and reprogram with recovery disks?
i have already reset the bios and can access it with no prob. but the password for the drive is different than the bios

hi there was wondering if you could help me out i purchased a laptop of friend who has just emmigrated and i cant get in contact with him anymore as my phone was stolen ive managed to reset the nvram chip ie shorting out 3 6 which has removed the bios password and the asset tag which was pretty cool now this stupid latitude d610 has a hdd password and was wondering if you could possible give me the code or advice on what i need to do next the code on the dreaded white screen is #***3LE1Y3CT-595B is possible for you to give me the code as i have 4 digits missing at begining, if possible could i just not replace hdd with new one not from dell?? would this work???

I'm desperate to get this Admin BIOS password off my C640. Got this old laptop from my cousin who now can't remember what his admin password was. I know 595B is a bugger and I don't want to go messing with the bios chip. I was wondering if there is anyway one can get a master password or at least a password for this service tag: FP5YQ21-595B
