u can see here : http://www.download.centre4service.com/home.html
I have looked all over this page, my XPS m140 must not be a GEN2, if you look at the pics on that page for the XPS models, you will see that both memory slots are side by side, my memory slots are as follow, one on the bottom, and one under the keypad. With this info, maybe someone knows this model, and can tell me were to find this chip!!

Those generators you are using do not work on -595B passwords. There are several people who have generators which do work on that model, but they charge for their use., except for rustam on this forum. He visits infrequently however and his PM message inbox stays full, so you will have trouble contacting him. The shorting method also does not work on that model or any other Dual Core/Core 2 Duo Dell Laptop. Private message me if you want a link to ones that charge fees; I will not post them on the open forum

Hi all,

I tryed contact Rustam directly over PM, but i can't send a PM before Iv'e post 5 messages on forum. So this is maybye the way. Because i spend lot of time reading pages about unlocking Dells especially D620's on forum (this is really mess, i'm loosing in this) and all hints leads to him, it seems he solved out this problem many times, many users.

I have very similar problem as lot of TS users. I have Dell Latitude D620 and after start appears request to enter Administrator or system password: This computer system is protected by password...

Service Tag: 5LCGC2J-595B

Rustam, can you generate password for me? Or anybody else?

Thank you very much.

Hi splitpin2008. If you don't mind, can you share what you used to solve the problem? I have a similar issue as yours. Did you use the svctag.exe program? Were you able to boot from a USB?

hi, i used the CD version.... you have to burn it as an ISO file, then boot the laptop off it... as my boot order was FDD / HD / CD, i have to remove the HD to boot from the CD...
... i then held my breath.... followed the on screen instructions and success!

just one thing... make a note of your service tag ... as you can re-enter it after clearing the EPROM....

Hello, I know that probably you guys are tired of hearing these shoutouts begging for help.

I had a very paranoid configuration, with BIOS admin, system passwords, settings locked, booting list locked to only booteable from harddrive, the hard drive locked and the whole hard drive encrypted AES-256.

Thanks god I didn't forget the system password and the PGP keyphrase, but I forgot the admin password.
Now my windows got corrupted and I need to reinstall it, but since the bootings settings are locked up I can't do anything.

I tried to call Dell Support, but they refused to help me since I wasn't the original buyer (I bought it used), and after insisting a little bit they changed the excuse saying that my warranty was expired.

Then I tried to find a warmhearted admin in the forums of Dell. A guy tried to help me generating a password but it didn't work.
After that I tried to find a shortcircuiting diagram from several sites, including here, but I couldn't find for the Inspiron 6000.

I was wondering if you guys could generate one for me, please.
I would be very grateful if you guys give me a hand over here...

Model: Inspiron 6000
Service Tag: 1m7gy61
Express Service Code: 3519586297

I just need the master password to modify the settings in the BIOS, I have the unlocking code of the hard drive.
(The admin in the forum gave me 8X1QM2QT which didn't work)

Thanks a lot,
garompeta

Thanks Tedster, I know paragon's website, and I browsed it way before I registered in techspot.
But since I saw that Rustam_ had a way to generate 595B Service Tags, I wondered if he could give me a hand generating it one for me.

I don't want to risk to render my laptop useless by accident

I read in your profile Predator that you are in Russia, I am honestly learning russian at school :)
Well, I am basically reposting what I wrote before here:

http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic91567.html

I've seen you are more active than rustam_, please I am wondering if you can give me a hand. I have a lot of tools in my machine, including the rosetta stone software with which I train my russian lessons...

My windows got corrupted (hal.dll missing or corrupted, it sucks), and now I need to reinstall it, but the problem is that I locked the boot sequence and the BIOS Settings, and I forgot the admin password.

I tried to call Dell Support, but they refused to help me since I wasn't the original buyer (I bought it used), and after insisting a little bit they changed the excuse saying that my warranty was expired.

I tried removing the hard drive to see if it forced it to boot from another device, but that failed miserably.

Model: Inspiron 6000
Service Tag: 1m7gy61-595B
Express Service Code: 3519586297

I just need the master password to modify the settings in the BIOS, I have the unlocking code of the hard drive.
(Some admin in the dell's forum gave me 8X1QM2QT but it didn't work)

Thanks a lot,
