Laptop with Win7 restarts every 10-30 minutes, ntoskrnl.exe; Bugcheck code: 0x7F

Hi

I have a recent (about 2 month old) Sony Vaio z128 laptop (sony-asia.com/product/vpcz128gg) with Win7 64bit.

During the 2 month laptop restarted few times.
2 days ago it started to restart randomly every 10-30 minutes.

The error I'm getting on restart from Windows and WhoCrashed are below.
Dumps are attached.

I couldn't identify what driver / device responsible for it.

I have a warranty but it will mean not having my computer for a while and it's not easy as it is my only development / work computer.

Could anyone help me to identify the problem?
Thanks!

Start by removing ZoneAlarm; I suspect that may be the cause for your 7F bugcheck. Here is the removal tool: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/support/cpes_clean.exe

Also, remove AVG with this tool: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_arv_sup_____.dir/avgremoverx64.exe

Replace it with MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Install updated Intel Ethernet drivers from here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx?iid=gg_support-EN_01+home_downloadct

While you're there, you might grab some newer WiFi driver as well.

Finally, install updated nVidia drivers from here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Thank you Jonathan!

Removed ZoneAlarm and so far all good.
Will report if anything comes back.

Would you still recommend MSE over free antiviruses, even if it's not crashing anymore?

Thank you, really appreciate your help.

I would recommend MSE on the basis of speed alone, even if it didn't have the advantage of being an extremely stable anti-virus program.

Glad the BSODs have stopped though, thanks for reporting back!
