Can't run Trend Micro Anti-Spyware

Downloaded, tried to run it.

Got a box saying
"Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 31
(Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) Error # 0x80004005"

NOW what!?

Have gone thru all the exercises in the stickies at the beginning
of this forum, incl Spybot, Adaware, HJT, and the other actions
specified in "How to remove - - Nasties"

This is getting downright frustrating & disgusting!

Continue to appreciate any guidance & help!
 
I'm building a totally new system which will have XP Home.

In the meantime, I'm trying to clean this old horse up so I
can safely transfer a bunch of files to the new system.

I was able to download the AVG anti-vir last nite and ran
it with no findings.

I was thinking along the lines of downloading the Kaspersky
security suite (or whatever) thru this computer, putting it
onto CD after scanning it for nasties just to make sure it
didn't pick up anything in transit, then installing on the new
system BEFORE I hook the new system to the internet so
I don't hook it to the net before I get protection installed.

Good/workable idea or not?

Much easier to take the harddisk out and stick it temporarily in your new PC. Do the AV scan (and any other scans) there, then transfer the required files onto your new harddisk.
Then return the old HD and format it.
