The BSODs are: 0x00000050 0x000000c4 0x000000d1 I have no idea what to do :hotbounce !!! please help. I tryed to check with SiSoftware but i didn'found any serios problems, but in some cases i got BSOD 0x000000c4, when i tryed to run hardware check and then i solve it with verifier. P.S. The computer working slow resently, for example it takes a few seconds to open "My Computer". The computer is: CPU Intel(r) intel(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz M/B Asus P5GD1 VGA Card Asus Extreme AX600 Pro HDD WDC WD800JB-00FMA0 (74GB) CD-ROM NECDVD_RW ND-3520A OS Windows XP SP2 the most "popular" events are: Event Type: Warning Event Source: Tcpip Event Category: None Event ID: 4226 Date: 11/14/2005 Time: 2:15:01 PM User: N/A Computer: GOLDENBERG Description: TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts. The last item says you're running overclk.exe. Are you overclocking? If so, reset the BIOS back to defaults...one of your pieces of hardware (old caps might do this) may have worn down so it doesn't like the overclock any more...

Sounds like you think your hardware is good, so the only other thing to try is create a new partition and install Windows or Linux onto that and see if it still BSODs.
If it does, then you have a hardware issue and you should start swapping w/ other known good parts one by one. If it doesn't, then you've got some weird driver issue in Window, so you'll have to install the driver one by one. Yep...painful. That's why it's easier nowadays to just get a new system and copy all your data to it and feed the landfills :-) |

Hi diablo,
I believe that your windows have two culprits. Anti-Virus Mini-Firewall and Sandra. Upgrade Anti-Virus Mini-Firewall and Sandra. Mini111205-03.dmp BugCheck C4, {85, 81acc440, 20, e0} Owning Process 81b8e650 Image: RpcSandraSrv.ex Probably caused by : Sandra.sys ( Sandra+1a76 ) Mini111205-04.dmp BugCheck 100000D1, {3, 2, 0, f8631907} Probably caused by : mvstdi5x.sys ( mvstdi5x+2907 ) |

About Anti-Virus Mini-Firewall - it's McAfee, and i updated it with hope that it'll help.
About Sandra, it happend when i tryed to run hardware test by SiSoftware and i solve it by vrifier.exe. But what about event 4226? How can i change the limmits on tcp/ip? And what about my computer working slow (as i said in the thread opening)? by all the tests ituses about 50% of total memory on all proccesses. thank for answears |

Maybe you should uninstall McAfee altogether, and use the free Avg antivirus programme, and the Free Zonealarm firewall instead.
See if your system then becomes stable. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 http://www.zonelabs.com/store/conten...=dbtopnav_zass Regards Howard ![]() |

It doesn't want to stop...
As sajested i updated the drivers but it's still gives me the error about mvstdi5x.sys that is probably part of McAfee. I downloaded WinDBG and opened recent minidumps, i don't understeand in this but it looks like TCP/IP problems are related to the mvstdi5x.sys problem.
Recent dumps are attached. P.S. in the last 2 days i sometimes get an error messege while starting the computer: "The overclocking faild F1 to enter the Setup (Bios) F2 to continue with defult settings" When i enter the setup, on JumperFree configuration, the CPU config. is set on "Auto" and no overclocking. What can it be and maybe it all connected together? |

Can you tell me something abou the TCP/IP problem?

All your latest minidumps are crashing at mvstdi5x.sys.
Remove the programme, and try the alternatives I suggested. Regards Howard ![]() |

hey diablo,
can you please tell me the specs on your power supply.? i am using: Power Focus, microATX 300W DC output: +5V 20A +12V 10A +3.3V 12A i receive the same random crashes as you, and might think it is a unstable power supply issue. i have yet to test my system with a new supply, but i was wondering if you could post your power supply specs for me. thanks |

microATX power supplies are notorious for being underpowered unless you're running a truly barebones system. What else are you running on that power supply? (motherboard, cards, overclocking?)

hey,
im running : -300W powersupply -Motherboard model#pm9msr2 (machspeed) -3.06 GHz intel celeron D processor -40Gb Western Digital harddrive -512Mb Kingston Memory -128Mb Asus V9520 AGP videocard (GeForce 5200) software components: -windows xp sp1 basically im testing these systems inside kiosks. these systems are therefore running non-stop. mostly playing video files through the media player. could it be a heat issue causing random crashes? thanks |

To djtech9:
I haven't yet checked my PSU, and it's still an option. Now i'm checking if the drivers i installed for my video card was right. I installed the drivers from the disk i got with the card (EAX600 Pro by ASUS) but there is a posibility that thay are not good for this updates (of XP) so i downloaded the lattest drivers from ATI site, and we'll see. |
