Some benchmarks i did

System specs is present. Also to note, both games running on stock settings with my gpu at 567 core/333 memory.

COD 4

Settings i am running it on, Results , average around 12-30fps.
Sorry about the colors, they look a bit wash out, i have to upped the settings next time, and make sure i put on aa gamma correction.

1280x1024 normal to high settings, glow on, lights on low, no AA, no AF at the moment.

............................

Crysis Warhead at 1280x1024, all mainstream to low settings,Works perfect, 14-24fps. Hardly drops below 14, only at the beginning part. That part is very demanding.

(RESIZE TO 1024X640)

The CoD4 engine is an excellent one, you can get great performance on old cards too. But I still refuse to believe Crysis or Warhead can be run, and they will stay off the list until I get definitive proof of them running smoothly enough.

Ah, thanks for that. I assumed it was using the same engine as Legend and Anniversary. A quick search showed that it is an all-new graphics engine. I have accordingly updated the list.

Again, thanks for the update.

Deus Ex Invisible War.

Alien Arena- its based of quake, or one of those old fps games, and it's awesome.

It is indeed awesome, but will it run well on those specs? Its based on the Quake II engine, but has been heavily re-written from what I know. Just confirm whether or not it'll work on the minimum specs for the list, and I'll add it.

According to the Alien Arena Guide, the minimum specs are 128 mb of ram, a 650 mhz cpu, and an openGL graphics card.

Gothic I and Gothic II are great games, that will tie you to your computer for quite a long time - and they are not demanding at all. Heavily recommended.

Thank you for the contributions dayslayer8, I have added Sacred and Titan Quest to the list.

However, I did not particularly enjoy R&F: CaW and from the minimum specs, I think it will be laggy on older systems, so I am apprehensive of putting it on the list. Can anyone confirm whether or not it works acceptably on an older system?

Woot, Titan Quest is awesome!

What about Test Drive Unlimited and Crashday. Crashday is a pretty fun car-combat type game (with a track editor and all that jazz), that will run on just about anything these days.

TDU is simply one of the best games I've ever played. Ever. It's not all that demanding either. If you don't plan on playing on too high a setting, like myself :'(

Nah, TDU will stay off the list. I doubt it will be playable with 512MB of RAM.

As for Crashday, it has a lot of negative press for being buggy and there seems to be artifacting for no reason in the game. Can you confirm if there is a patch that fixes most, if not all, of these issues?

I can't confirm there's a patch but I've never had any trouble with it...
