Hey I know wotl is not on the list but yeah you cant play the new expansion on

Any games suggested should work on a Pentium IV 1.7GHz CPU and a GeForce 6200 card

Nice list by the way you might want to consider sectioning it down a bit, because a game like diablo 1 takes nothing to run compared to wow. Maybe add a 1-10 scale where wow or whatever is the highest demand game is a 10.

Oh yeah heres a game planetside. It is probably in line with wow as far as demand.

It came out in like 2003, I didnt play it until a few years ago, its unlike anything I have played before, its a massive fps, in a on going world like wow, you have thousands of players on each planet fighting for control over bases, leveling up, getting new vehicles and weapons, I hope the make a part 2. I never played a fps before with a 100+ on 100+ player battles.

I think if Crysis were to end up on the list you may aswell put every decent game in existence on the list, as it's one of the most demanding games ever.

How about Star Wars Rogue Squadron? It's a 3rd person x-wing shooter game. It's tonnes of fun, especially with a joystick, and it runs in a pentium III.

I still have issues with crysis with my new vga. If someone tries to put it on this list. I'll hop the next flight to slap them with my crysis box.

:O I didn't know this was on PC! It's one of the best games I've ever played on N64, best games in general actually!

Here's the Wikipedia article about it, if you need more information:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Rogue_Squadron

And the requirements are a 166 mhz cpu, 32 mb of ram, and a 4 mb video card.

Too bad its sequel isn't on PC. Anyway, guess what? Project Origin runs surprisingly light for a 2009 game! Not sure it suits in the list though.

And err... if you can search in Japanese sites you can purchase many Japanese doujin games (sort of indy games in Japanese). All of them are pretty interesting, while never require a high end PC to run. Some examples to begin:

http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/index_e.html - Kenta Cho is probably the most well-known Japanese indy developer among the English speaking community. His freeware games are coooooool

http://www16.big.or.jp/~zun/ - ZUN is a little bit less famous than Kenta Cho, probable because his Touhou shooter series are too hard to play, still great to check out though :P

http://www.dwahan.net/Marsbound/cloudphobia/ - You won't find many doujin developer sites that have English interface like this, believe me

http://www004.upp.so-net.ne.jp/x_xgameroom/ - In the Game section, their games are for free like Kenta's

http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/ - Their only current game is Rosenkruez Stilette, a Japanese platform game that consists a large portion of English and... German (lol?!)

There are many other great doujin developers that you can search for yourself.

Not doujins, but Eternal Eden from the indy developer Blossom Soft definitely gave me the nostalgia of those old-school Japanese RPG.

Aces of the Galaxy (PC Version) and 2 Puzzle Quest games are definitely in the list, 'nough saying

schoolgirlni, Star Wars Rogue Squadron is an older game that might be hard to find now. I happened to get that game free in a bundle when I bought a Dell PC several years ago. So as not to drag this thread off topic, start a new thread with your question about game recommendations. Be sure to list your PC specifications, particularly your graphics card so members can suggest appropriate games.

I just tried out this game called mount and blade,
http://www.taleworlds.com/index.html

You can download the trial version for free, the trial version alone gave me about 12 hours of play. I went and got myself a key since I loved it so much. I have no clue when this game came out, but im running it pretty decently on this old rig that can half assly run wow the burning crusade but cannot run wotl wow.

I think this game rocks, you manually block\dodge all incoming damage, you manually swing 4 different directions to try and chop down your enemies. Its not some run of the mill wow type game, its very realistic, not cartoony in the least, it actually takes skill swinging blocking and dodging. You get to level up as well get better items, sell slaves if you want, raid villages, defend a maidens honor or do nothing, its all up to you, there is no goal.

Your basically thrown into the middle ages in the time of nights and mounted archers, it has a fallout sense of do whatever the hell you want. Its only 800 mb or so, im very impressed by the graphics from how small it is and how well it does on this low end this rig, I cant wait to play it on my bros high end rig when we get it fixed so I can play it on max settings. I currently have it on 1280x800 res and the settings are set half way, it even has a thing in graphics that tells you your performance % with the way you have the settings, I keep mine at 100%.

One game I would include would be Alice, that was a fun game. Even the oldest systems can play this game.

Lenient? In what way?

The original requirements were an MX440 BTW, so most of these games should run well on just about anything. Only the ones that are newer, or require SM3.0 support won't run well, or even at all.
