I don't really understand this list. Do you mean games that onboard graphics cards can run, or just 8600GT and below? Because games like F.E.A.R. still struggle with my old 7300GS

Do you have the settings maxed out or something?

I could get F.E.A.R. running steady set at about med on my old comp and it had;
1GB Ram
ATI X200 (integrated)
and some P4 2.8Ghz i think

What are you other specs?

Read it more carefully. Also read about the specs I have stated that the games will run on. FEAR has an option in the Graphics settings where you can force DX8 shaders. Also, you can turn Pixel Doubling on. This drastically increases performance on weaker cards like yours.

Nox, War Wind, War Wind 2, Carnivores 1,2, and Cityscope.

Cityscope is a Carnivores game, by the way...

They all are pretty old and run GREAT, just maybe a very easy compatability mode with nox. Must be set to compatibility mode.

Rise of nations, Medal of honor, Grand theft auto all parts of the series. you can always download emulators to play games from n64, ps1-2, dreamcast, and other consoles on the pc. Most of the old classics like 007 goldeneye, zelda, and super smash brothers. you can download the actual roms at dgemu.com for free but you get a certain amount of points by responding in their forum. The more points you get more the games you can download.

F.E.A.R. has a lot of tweaking options, so there should be some way to make it run well on many computers.

And I'd say Star Wars Republic Commando.

No small makers?

You don't have any games from small shareware game makers. One of my particular favorites is Spiderweb Software. Amost all of these games can be run on an extremely basic system. The games these peple offer are Geneforges 1-4, Avernum 1-5, Nethergate: Ressurection, and lots of older games. There is also plenty of other small-tme game makers out there, besides the one I named...

Geneforge and Avernum are already there. If you have any other additions, let me know and I'll add them there.
And thanks for that one snacks, I'd forgotten about it.

Thanks Mr. Julio. I really appreciate it.
On a side note, I can't seem to join Digg. Does anyone know why?

lol @ Fable; even my 8800GTS has problems with it (@ 8x FSAA, 1680x1050)

I doubt that Fable plays well on anything less than a 6600; I know it kinda sucked on my ol' Asus EN6600 @ 1024x768

as for my contribution I would say Gun Metal is a very fun game

Look here. FYI, my dad's PC has a 1.7GHz Williamette CPU, 1GB of DDR RAM and a 256MB DDR 6600, which plays Fable perfectly at 1024x768 with 2x AA and everything else maxed out. You probably have some other issues.
@Canadian, thanks for the contribution!
And last but not the least, thanks again to Mr. Julio for putting this on the front page, and to all the TS people who've contributed. It wouldn't have been possible without your help and support. Hope this thread continues to help more people.
The list seems to have been messed up, and I can't fix it! What happened?!

Nice list, still can use a couple of key games, roller coaster tycoon 1 + expansions, roller coaster tycoon 2 + expansions, not roller coaster tycoon 3 due to the fact that they ruined it and it won't run on the specs, need for speed 2 and the hot pursuit lot, frogger, trackmania sunrise ans united. Thats all for now, great list.

Hrm.. How about listing the games one per line. I do realise that that the current arrangement may be "cool" and "warezlike", but it's a real pain to go through this giant blob of gibberish when you are not looking for anything specific that the find function could show.
