Stick some warrent on it then phone Dell and they will give you a over ride password.

The new dells coreduo protected by new security system are another story , but PM for them also .

I have a dell Latitude D420 and a latitude d620 that a bought online unfortunately they came to me with a password, Somebody told me that itstored on a chip (EEprom) is there somebody who knows how to unlock them?

I've got a Dell Latitude X300 here that was given to me as a hand me down. My brother forgot the BIOS password.

Here's the code I get when I enter the wrong password in three times: 07560

Does anyone have info on the location of the eeprom chip on a D820 Latitude. Or is it like the D620, and uses a different method of storing the bios info? Thanks

i also got one d520. eprom 25p80 on the bottom part of the laptop. i have read it also have one dump of a d620 with no password for that eprom. does anyone have any news matter to this. i can provide my dumps

However, it BIOS Password was locked...

I cannot release Password though I tried eeprog by installing Linux.
Besides, is there a method of releasing the BIOS password?

Hey, guys, what happens when you type in a wrong password 3 times? Apart from showing a code for unlocking, is anything additionally locked? Is it in any way risky?
