2.1 speaker issues

my 2.1 computer speekers work till get warm then shut off (buzz then stop playing but still on) when low volume signals come along (en-between tracks ect.) they work for a fraction of a sec. as you turn them off. you can sometimes catch them as there tuning off with the on switch to get them to work a till the next quite section. any ideas on the problem?

Sounds like you have dead speakers to me.

Try a different set if possible to confirm this.

Try using the mini plug in the headphone jack.
