Access my document folder with other admin account

Hi!
my xp professional wont boot, i re installed xp with out reformatting but installation failed.
So I installed xp professional in another folder, log on as admin but can’t access my files inside “my documents” folder of my old admin account
Thank for any help or advice.

If you can 'see' the folder, I believe taking ownership may be the key;
