Alienware Area-51 5500 or Dell XPS 600?

  1. I am going to buy my own gaming pc, so I went to Alienware and built an Area-51 5500, it would be very good for gaming, 7900GT, Creative Sound Blaster X-FI, 3.0Ghz processor,1GB RAM, reasonable price. But I also built a Dell XPS almost exact same specs, but it is about $300 cheaper. I heard that Dell's gaming pc's are not the best. I just want to know would it be worth the extra money to buy the alienware, or just go with the Dell, thanks.

Id go with Alien. Dell uses proprietary motherboards and cases that are a PIA to upgrade.

Ok, thanks. I was wondering about the motherboards because you can pick AGP cards. I'll go with the alienware because I know it's SLI which I like.

Have you though about putting one together yourself? You would probably save yourself a hundred and fifty dollars or so, and gain some experience doing it.
