In theory maybe but IMHO it's not realistic. You may wish it to happen but I doubt enough people would follow your example to make a significant difference. I could be wrong but I don't think so.

I don't disagree with you. People have become lazy and incredibly self-centred. The point of my post was to demonstrate that it doesn't have to be a huge undertaking to change one's purchasing habits for the benefit of everyone (including themselves). I'm sure that enough people would agree with it to make a really big dent in Amazon's bottom line. That in itself would be worth it.

I mean, we must at least give it a shot because the situation as is shouldn't be allowed to continue or (heaven forbid) get even worse (which it will). Amazon has become a cancer and just like cancer, if we wait too long to respond to it, game over.

I agree. I will look for a product everywhere I can these days and treat Amazon as a 'last resort' purchaser.
Same with Google. I try wherever I can to avoid using Google search and use Ecosia.

These 2 companies along with the social media mob are so damaging to society. You think it's progress but you loose so much more than you gain.

Ecosia... I'll have to check that out. I'd be interested in another search engine. Hell, I remember when AltaVista was the one everyone used.
