Maybe in two or three more years, things will get better but as of right now, Linux isn't ready for prime time in the mass market.

Which Linux distro will be ready for mass consumption, ever? Too many distros and too many fragmented efforts for the world to home in on one Linux distro, or even two or three. Too many egos in the Linux world.

That's of the biggest problems, there's no real teamwork working towards one common goal; namely killing Microsoft stone dead leaving them to be nothing more than a minor footnote in the history books.
