AMD GPU and Nvidia GPU togethere?

Hi there,
Years ago, Crossfire and SLI were a thing but I guess nobody using those anybody however some were able to get AMD GPU and Nvidia GPU to work together. The result was the combo was faster (beat me why) than the crossfire and sli result.
Question: Can today newest fastest AMD GPU and Nvidia GPU still work together. I would love to see the result. thank.

Having two different vendor's GPUs in your machine is fine. Having them working together in SLI or CrossFire isn't possible in Windows, because any game will just use one set of drivers for the 'primary' display adapter, and AMD's drivers won't work with an Nvidia card, and vice versa.
